Judo in France has a huge history with big names as Teddy Riner, David Douillet, Lucie Decosse and current Olympic Judo Champions Teddy Riner and Emilie Andeol. Gevrise Emane is a judo legend and Clarisse Agbegenenou who became a five time world champion. France Judo organises many IJF events such as Grand Slam Paris in the new Bercy and World Championships held in 2011. FFJDA hosts in Paris and also the IJF General Secretariat led by Jean-Luc Rouge is based in Paris.
