Giulia Quintavalle etched her name in judo history by clinching the Olympic gold medal in the U57kg category at the 2008 Beijing Games, triumphing over Deborah Gravenstijn. Before her Olympic glory, she showcased her talent by becoming the Italian champion in 2004 and 2005. In 2007, she placed fifth at the World Championships in Rio de Janeiro. European Team Champion 2010 in Vienna. She gave childbirth but persevered and qualified for the 2012 London Olympic Games. At the age 5 she started practicing judo with her twin Michel, in the footsteps of our older brother Manuel.
