Thomas Schleicher was European Junior Champion in 1992. At senior level he was in the European final in 1996 U71kg and bronze in 1995. He competed at World Championships and 1996 Olympic Games. The Austrian judoka was in the final of the Tournoi de Paris in 1997. He committed suicide in 2001 after he was sent to prison for 5 years.
