Ming Yen Tsai of Taipei took a bronze medal at the Grand Slam of Paris in 2014 U60kg. He won silver at the Grand Prix in Jeju in 2013. Tsai won the Asian Open in Taipei in 2013 and he took bronze at the Asian Championship in 2013 and bronze in 2012. In 2011 he was world vice cadet champion in Kiev. He clinched a bronze medal at the gold Grand Prix in Hohhot in 2019
