Hifume Abe has an impressive judo career, becoming World Champion in 2017, 2018, 2022, and 2023, and clinching the two Olympic gold medals at Paris 2024 and Tokyo 2020. He gained recognition after winning the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing in 2014 and reaching the World Junior Championships final the same year. Notably, he added silver at the World Cadet Championships in Miami. In 2016, he became the youngest winner of the Grand Slam in Tyumen and Tokyo. Abe holds the record for the most Grand Slam titles, with a total of twelve wins. He triumphed at the Grand Slam in Antalya in 2024.
