Uzbek judoka Davlat Bobonov became World Champion in 2022 in Tashkent, following a silver medal at the 2021 World Championships in Budapest. Bobonov also secured a bronze at the 2020 Olympic Games and attained gold at the Grand Slam in Düsseldorf in 2020. His accomplishments include winning the IJF Grand Prix in Tashkent in 2016 and claiming a silver medal at the Grand Slam of Osaka in 2019. In 2022, he earned a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Paris and secured a silver at the Grand Slam in Ulaanbaatar. Additionally, Bobonov bagged a bronze medal at the 2023 IJF World Masters in Budapest.
