Enough judo for everyone this weekend with Olympic qualifiers at the Pan American Open in Buenos Aires with some of the best athletes fighting for a ticket to Rio. Strong teams from Spain, Estonia, Russia, Canada, USA and many Pan American countries battle for the points. Also a qualifying event at the African Open in Casablanca with a strong Moroccan team but the French may be taking most of the gold again.

At Junior level you can follow the European Cup in Coimbra where the best athletes have history such as Telma Monteiro, of course. But also Dex Elmont, Automne Pavia, Charline van Snick and many others. It’s the first Junior European Cup of the season.

At Cadet level the European Cup in Zagreb was traditionally one of the first, now it’s the fourth event of the season and always a huge field in the Croatian capital. Again the tatami is packed with over 600 young athletes from 31 nations with huge teams from Croatia, Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia, Poland, Bosnia, France and Israel.
