Sumiya Dorjsuren dominates her category since 2015

World Champion Sumiya Dorjsuren was the undisputed star U57kg this year. In 2016 she was Olympic silver medallist but this year she took revenge and won the world title in Budapest in a thrilling final against Tsukasa Yoshida.

After bronze in 2015, this year the jackpot was hit under the eyes of Mongolian President Khaltmaagyn Battulga.

Also in 201 she was the world ranking leader, this time accompanied with an amount of 50,000 USD. She lost her position to Tsukasa Yoshida in May  but regained the number one position. Since 2015 she reigns this category but forgot the win the Olympic title.

This year she started winning the Mongolian national title and a silver medal at the Grand Prix in Düsseldorf. Also in Hohhot she took silver but peaked when she needed in Budapest and was since then unbeatable in Abu Dhabi and St. Petersburg.

Meanwhile she booked 11 World Cup victories and 30 medals, two World Championships medals and Olympic silver. She will make sure she won’t get robbed in 2020 at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
