The final in Tashkent of the last woman’s category saw Ukrainian powerhouses Iryna Kindzerska and Svitlana Yaromka competing for the gold medal. Yaromka finally won with only a penalty difference after a kumikata battle for four minutes.

Only penalties were distributed during the first bronze medal fight between Sarah Adlington (GBR) and Gulsah Kocaturk (TUR), to the advantage of the British fighter, who won after the Turkish athlete was disqualified for passivity and not respecting the limit of the fighting area. Only 11 seconds were necessary for Franziska Konitz (GER) to win against Zarina ABDRASSULOVA (KAZ) with a superb uchi-mata.
