Clarisse Agbegnenou is no doubt the strongest European U63kg

Clarisse Agbegnenou is the strongest woman in this class U63kg. That was clear after the final of the European Championships second day in Montpellier. In the final Agbegnenou foughth againstTina Trstenjak (SLO). Agbegnenou scored a yuko and defended her title successfully in the French harbour city.

Agbegnenou defeated Dutch Anicka van Emden by ippon in the semi. The World silver medallist of 2013 also bested Edwige Gwend and Greek talent Elisaveta Teltsidou. Van Emden won the bronze after a victory against Hilde Drexler of Austria.

On the other side of the table Trstenjak bested Agata OZdoba in the semi final and the Polish won bronze after a victory against Gwend. Trstenjak defeated another candidate, Martyna Trajdos in the quarter final. World Chamion Yarden Gerbi lost her match against Ozdoba in her first match.
