Brazil and Great Britain take stake in Montevideo

The British and Russian athletes both won 3 gold medals at the PanAm Open in Montevideo. In total The British have taken ten medals at the PanAm Open in Montevideo.
Nonetheless the second place behind winner Brazil with a convincing five titles. Also Russia was able to claim three titles in the capital of Uruguay. France won two gold medals, followed by Canada picking up the last gold medal.
Ashley McKenzie was able to retain last year’s title U60kg. Russian Denis Lavrentyev won U66kg. Frenchman Ugo Legrand showed he is still in shape to regain his European title of 2012. Anton Nikiforov (RUS) won U81kg. Compatriot Soslan Bostanov won the heavyweights.
In the women’s division Aurore Climence won the first title of the event for France. Good old Sarah Clark has good memories in Pan America, now she gained gold in Montevideo U63kg. Megan Fletcher shows that Great Britain has a choice U70kg by winning.
