Frightening car accident for Telma Monteiro

At 12 April Telma Monteiro suffered a car accident on the A23 together with Bárbara Timo, Rodrigo Lopes, an employee of a local club and another athlete from the Benfica team. The Olympic medallist announced on her social media that she's fine but had the biggest scare of her life.
Monteiro: "At a moment I really thought it was the end. But the most important thing is that everything ended in the best way. Luckily apart from some bruises and body pain, I'm fine, we're all fine! I am passionate about life and I am extremely grateful to have woken up for another day.
It's just life reminding us once again what a blessing it is to be here and that we can't leave anything undone, nothing left unsaid. It's all too precious to waste this fantastic journey. Be and do what makes you happy. Thank you all for the messages."
