Gefen Primo (ISR) began the day as number one seed and she lived up to it perfectly, throwing Asvesta (CYP) with tani-otoshi for ippon and then beat Jung (KOR) and Zhu (CHN) tactically to move into the final without too much stress.

Larissa Pimenta (BRA) stayed true to her seeding, advancing to the semi-final where she engaged in a shido-battle against Leiva Sanchez (ESP), ultimately emerging victorious. Sanchez had earlier disrupted the top four by countering Iraoui (MAR) in the closing moments of their bout and securing a crucial victory.

In the final, Gefen Primo and Larissa Pimenta battled for the coveted gold medal. Despite a close call with an uchi-mata from Pimenta, it was Primo who seized the opportunity, catching Pimenta's foot with a well-timed ashi-waza and swiftly transitioning to the ground for a decisive ippon victory, clinching the gold for Israel while Pimenta settled for silver.

In the first bronze medal contest, Ana Viktorija Puljiz and Ayumi Lieva Sanchez engaged in a thrilling battle, with both judokas displaying relentless aggression. As the clock ticked down to the final seconds, with a waza-ari each and three penalties accumulated between them, Sanchez executed a perfectly timed counter to Puljiz's attack, securing an ippon victory and the bronze medal.

The second bronze medal contest featured Siderot (POR) and Zhu (CHN). With just over a minute remaining, Zhu executed a tight attack, scoring waza-ari with sumi-gaeshi. Despite their evenly matched performance throughout the contest, it was Zhu who emerged victorious, claiming the bronze medal for China.
