British judoka Richard Murphy from Sussex was ranked 11th in BJA +100kg rankings. Murphy was county champion in 2015. He attained his 1st dan in June 2017. In 2018 he reached top 10 in Great Britain. He came second in London open 3rd in English open and I represented Sussex in the intercounties winning all fights to bring the gold back to Sussex and become intercounties champion.
