Dutch judoka Aloha Verdonk captured a bronze medal at the Residential Tournament U18 in The Hague in 2021. She was national champion U15 in 2019. Aloha won the Venray tournament twice in 2021 and 2022. In 2023 she won gold at the International Bayer Cup in Leverkusen U20. Her father is from Suriname but she moved to Curacao at a young age where she started judo. She came to Amsterdam and moved to Venlo and continued judo. She started 2024 well with victories at International Rotterdam Open in U21 and Dutch Open Espoir U21 in Eindhoven. Seized gold at the 2024 Junior European Cup in Birmingham.
