Judoka Siegfried Komosinski of (West) Germany won gold at the European Club Cup in 1980 in the category teams with Wolfsburg. In 1982 he left the Team VfL Wolfsburg because of a injury. In the 90's and in the beginning of 2000 he coached youth teams in Wolfsburg.
