European Judo Union President László Tóth started judo at the age of ten in Győr and was a two time senior Hungarian champion. He was President of the Hungarian Judo Association (since 1998), Member of the Hungarian Olympic Committee (since 1998). He is both nationally and internationally recognised for his work as President. In 2021 Toth received the most prestigious award which can be awarded to a non-Mongolian citizen by President Khaltmaagiin Battulga of Mongolia, the ‘Golden Angle’. He was elected EJU President in June 2022. He was awarded the 8th Dan at the Masters in Budapest in 2023.
