Russian judoka Ekaterina Valkova won the African Open in Port Louis in 2015. She won silver at the European Open in Minsk. Valkova won bronze at the 2015 Grand Slam Tokyo. She took silver at the Grand Slam in Tyumen in 2014 and bronze in Moscow in 2012 and Kazan in 2021 and Grand Prix Düsseldorf 2016. Valkova was Russian champion in 2015. In 2017 she won silver at the Grand Slam in Ekaterinburg and bronze at the Grand Prix in Tashkent in 2017. With Yewara Newa she won the Golden League in 2017 in Ankara.
