Japanese judoka Keiko Maeda was 1999 World Champion in Birmingham U63kg. She won the Junior world title in 1998 in Cali. Maeda competed at the Olympic Games in Sydney. She won the All Japan title in 1999 and 2000 and the Korean Open in 2003.
