Swiss judoka Sergei Aschwanden was 2008 Olympic bronze medallist in Beijing U90kg. He was European Champion in 2000 and 2003 U81kg. Bronze in 2005 and 2006. He won bronze at the World Championships in 2001 and silver in 2003. Kenyan mother, Rispa. She gave him the Russian name of Sergei. He competed at three Olympic Games. He triumphed at the German Open World Masters in 1999. Aschwanden was EJU vice President Education until Oct 2024.
