British judoka Jamal Petgrave took bronze at the Junior European Championships in 2017 in Maribor. He took bronze at the European Open in Glasgow in 2018. He captured the British senior title in Sheffield in 2019. He took a bronze medal at the European Open in Oberwart in 2020. Jamal claimed a gold medal at the European Cup in Dubrovnik in 2021. He became British champion in 2021 and 2024. He won the Commonwealth Games in 2022 in Birmingham. He took a silver medal at the Oceania Open in Perth in 2022 and bronze in 2023. He captured a bronze medal at the European Open in Warsaw in 2023.
