Former British champion judoka Acelya Toprak fights for Azerbaijan since November 2023. Toprak secured a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022. She won the European Open in Belgrade in 2017 as youngest winner. She took a silver medal at the Junior European Championships in Maribor in 2017. Toprak clinched silver at the European Open in Odivelas in 2020. She took a silver medal at the Oceania Open in Perth in 2022. She claimed gold at the European Cup in Dubrovnik in 2021 and other European Cup medals. Bronze medal at the 2024 Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi.
